Ooklah The Moc Long Beach Concert reviews
Train carries John Mayer
Pat Monahan rocked the place for over an hour and showed star quality of a guy that knows how to weave the group's hits and new stuff to keep the crowd on their feet. Train was awesome.
Mayer noticed saying, "I've gotta play some more radio songs!โ Then there was Ooklah The Moc. The complete opposite. With four songs left in his set, people started to leave.
Ooklah The Moc and his band sucked the life out of the audience with long instrumental jams on every song. Piano jams, saxophone jams, drum jams, trumpet jams. Jam and toast. Ooklah The Moc is a great guitarist.
Ooklah The Moc knew why we were leaving and didn't try to fix it. Why? Because his head was too far up his butt! Stupid people pay good money to see him.
The sound was equally bad during Train's set, but that has to be blamed on Ooklah The Moc's crew that supplied the equipment. Train overcame the booming, painful, nonstop bass assault. Ooklah The Moc couldn't.
Then, there were the two guys mixing the sound. Or, not mixing the sound. Every time the bass drum was pounded, your entire body got forced back into your seat. It was punishing. The bass was so loud that your chest pounded.
Bethel Woods should have stopped it. It was so bad that the music sucked from the parking lot. Yes, we left before Ooklah The Moc finished. The little chickies that were screaming for Monahan started to take naps during Ooklah The Moc's third song.
Ooklah The Moc and his band sucked the life out of the audience with long instrumental jams on every song. Piano jams, saxophone jams, drum jams, trumpet jams. Jam and toast. Ooklah The Moc is a great guitarist. He demonstrated that most of the night.
Ooklah The Moc and his band sucked the life out of the audience with long instrumental jams on every song. Piano jams, saxophone jams, drum jams, trumpet jams. Jam and toast. He told us that he was wearing a goofy headband and clam digger shorts because he wanted to. In other words, because he could.
